"Military Bike"

The "military bike" was originally a 1948 Goodyear. The frame, handlebars, cranks and rear wheel are now the only original parts left on it. The forks and neck are off of a donor mountain bike. The skiptooth sprocket came from an old Hawthorne parts bike. Got the Schwinn script front wheel out of a junk pile. And the fenders are off of a '50s ladies Monark.

The military bike was actually thought of after we had plans to build the cannon. Yeah, that's right, a fully functional potato CANNON! This is no wimpy handheld potato gun, this is a cannon. While designing the cannon we decided we've gotta have someway to haul the thing around, so that's when the military bike was thought of. The cannon is your basic potato gun, but mounted on a treated lumber frame with 24 inch wheels. It's even got a gear system with a hand crank to raise and lower the barrel. To hook it up to the military bike, we made a hitch designed after a child carrier hitch.
